In recent days, there have been rumors connecting Paris Saint-Germain with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. It’s speculated that the English player might be considering a move, especially with potentially significant changes on the horizon for the Red Devils this summer.
According to David McDonnell from The Mirror, reports suggested that PSG were preparing a £75 million offer to sign Rashford this summer. Recent updates have dismissed this rumor, but the Daily Star reports (h/t Le10Sport) that the Red Devils are open to selling the player.
Nonetheless, the outlet notes that it’s not for the £75 million that’s being reported. The Daily Star notes that the Premier League club values the 26-year-old at a €115 million price tag. If the number is in the ballpark, then it’s likely they have no desire to sell the player.
Furthermore, Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol doesn’t see a way that the 26-year-old could head to the French capital.
“I would find it difficult to see him moving to PSG,” Solhekol said. “Everybody knows that Kylian Mbappé is going to be leaving Paris this summer to move to Real Madrid. That is going to save PSG about €200 million a year.
“Obviously, they’ve been linked with players like Rashford, players like Osimhen, players like Rafael Leao at AC Milan as well, but my information is that Marcus Rashford is not really an option for them at all this summer.”
As a result, it appears that any rumors regarding Rashford should be taken with a grain of salt. PSG could pursue a winger this summer, but it’s unlikely they pursue Rashford.
