Manchester United Eye Ex-PSG Ace as Replacement for Ten Hag in Managerial Shake-Up

Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta thrives in Italy, positioning Bologna FC in contention for a UEFA Champions League spot next season. Nonetheless, his success garners numerous admirers across European football.

Motta, widely touted as a potential target for PSG before Luis Enrique’s arrival, may soon secure a prominent position this summer. Manchester United is reportedly considering a managerial change at the end of the season amid mounting pressure on current manager Erik Ten Hag.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group, the club’s new partial owners, are exploring options to assume the role. According to Team Talk, the Red Devils are considering the 41-year-old as a candidate for the manager position.

After achieving success as a player with Barcelona, Inter, and Paris Saint-Germain, winning numerous titles, the two-time Champions League winner transitioned to coaching at the senior level.

He briefly led Genoa before a season with Spezia and eventually assumed the role of Bologna coach. Over the past two years, Motta’s noteworthy performance has attracted considerable attention.

His team currently holds fourth place in Serie A and remains in contention for Champions League qualification next season.
