Man City Pushing to Secure €117M Brazilian Sensation Amid Barcelona and PSG Interest

Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimarães is said to be a summer target for Paris Saint-Germain to strengthen their midfield next season. But a new report suggests they may encounter a significant obstacle.

Guimarães will have many suitors, and he boasts a €117 million release clause that isn’t a wild figure. As a result, it makes sense for the Parisians to pursue him, but they face serious competition.

According to Spanish media outlet AS, Manchester City are eyeing Guimarães as their main target for a midfielder, but they are also considering Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich and Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.

Manchester City are looking to bring in a player who can support Rodri, a key figure in Pep Guardiola’s team. The report suggests that Manchester City has reached out to the 26-year-old’s representatives to kickstart talks for his signing.

The English club are prepared to meet the release clause in three installments of just over €39 million each but faces stiff competition. Liverpool and Chelsea have previously tried to secure Guimarães and may make another attempt in the summer, alongside potential interest from Manchester United.

Paris Saint-Germain is also in the mix for the Brazilian. However, Guimarães harbors a dream of playing for Barcelona, though the club only has €80 million and may need to sell players to make room for him.
