Kylian Mbappé will reportedly be heading to Real Madrid once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires. The Spanish side likely sees the Frenchman as the jewel of their project, but could another star join him soon?
Speculation has always been that Real Madrid wanted either Haaland or Mbappé. However, with the 25-year-old probably coming, the La Liga side wants to get greedy and land the Norwegian players, too.
In a recent segment on El Chiringuito, Marçal Lorente noted an agreement between Haaland and Manchester City that would allow the striker to leave for Real Madrid.
“This is not a release clause, but an agreement by which Haaland would pay this amount and leave in the summer of 2025,” Lorente said (h/t Le10Sport).
“At that time, Pep Guardiola’s contract also ends, and he is very morally committed to him. He could leave the team, and the Norwegian wants to play in the Spanish league.”
If both of these players come to the Spanish capital in the next two years, could players from the forward group decide to leave knowing that they might lose playing time or offset any cost? It will be interesting to see if Haaland and Mbappé are the start of a new Galactico era for Real Madrid.
