Liverpool’s Top Performer Not on PSG’s Radar to Replace Mbappé, Report Says

Liverpool’s Luis Díaz continues to sound around Paris Saint-Germain as the French giants likely pursue a player to help them replace Kylian Mbappé’s production when he reportedly leaves in June.

On Wednesday, a report from Foot Mercato noted that Díaz is Qatar’s priority to strengthen PSG’s attack, and contacts have already been established with the player’s agent.

However, Sky Sports News reported on Thursday that PSG are not considering Díaz as a replacement for Mbappé. Furthermore, the information reveals that neither PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos nor head coach Luis Enrique have any interest in signing Díaz.

Campos and Enrique also do not consider him to be the type of player they are looking for. The Parisians appear to have their winger situation sorted out when the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner leaves.

Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé will hold down the wing positions. However, the situation can always change during the summer transfer window, especially if PSG fails to advance to the semifinals. Nonetheless, for now, the Díaz appears to be smoke and mirrors.
