Former Paris Saint-Germain goal-scorer Lionel Messi achieved an incredible feat in his career. The 36-year-old netted a brace in Inter Miami’s 5-0 win over Orlando City on Saturday, with the Argentine scoring a brace.
While the two goals aided the squad in securing the three points, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner also scored his 499th and 500th league goals. In his illustrious career, Messi scored 474 goals with FC Barcelona, 22 in Ligue 1 with PSG, and four in MLS with Inter Miami.

The veteran is winding down his career playing in MLS, so he’ll have opportunities to improve his tally after arriving last summer to the South Florida-based club from the Parisians.
It will be interesting to see whether Messi can equal or surpass the total tally he set at PSG while a member of Inter Miami over this season and the next one, as he’s under contract until December 2025.
