Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires in June. The Frenchman’s next destination is likely to be joining Real Madrid as a free agent.
Although the exit is a few months away, more details surrounding the departure are beginning to surface, with the latest coming from L’Equipe.
The 25-year-old’s decision to leave is clearly causing a ripple effect at the club. According to the French media outlet, the conclusion to the transfer saga has been difficult to swallow, and even more so for PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
L’Equipe notes that Al-Khelaïfi granted everything the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner wanted for the past two years, such as bringing in sporting advisor Luis Campos.
Kylian Mbappé’s decision to leave PSG is a difficult pill to swallow and even more so for Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who has granted Kylian everything he wanted for the past 2 years: from bringing in Luís Campos, Julien Maynard, etc.

Furthermore, the capital club even gave him a salary never seen in football of €200 million annually, including bonuses. PSG also granted Kylian other promises, in particular, that he would be the head of the project.
The Parisians kept their commitment and pushed out Neymar Jr. and Marco Verratti after Lionel Messi’s departure. Additionally, they emphasized bringing in more top French talent.
However, despite these decisions, Mbappé ultimately chose not to stay with his hometown club.
