Paris Saint-Germain might be in the forward market to replace Kylian Mbappé, who will reportedly leave once his contract expires. One of the targets rumored to be a potential replacement is AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.

The Portugal international is linked to clubs like PSG and Chelsea ahead of this summer transfer window. However, Leao made remarks to Corriere della Sera that indicate he has no desire to leave Milan.

“My future is at Milan,” Leao said (h/t ESPN). “I’m here and I still have a four-year contract . Milan helped me when I was in a very difficult situation, they were close to me. I don’t forget.”

Leao has a €175 million release clause in his contract that he signed last year to remain with the Italian club until 2028. In a recent report, PSG’s management ticked off several names, and Leao’s profile is appreciated, but there is no unanimity on his case.

The outlet adds that Leao isn’t currently a top target for next season. As of today, it doesn’t seem to be a significant focus for the upcoming season.

Paris will have resources this summer, but it’s not sure that the club will want to position itself, especially at this amount. A team-oriented player is being sought.
