Revealed: Did Emmanuel Macron Discuss Kylian Mbappé’s Future Amid Real Madrid Reports?

Kylian Mbappé joyfully attended dinner at the Elysée Palace on Tuesday at the invitation of the President of the Republic. Emmanuel Macron warmly welcomed the Paris Saint-Germain striker, who conversed with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani.

During the dinner, it was widely expected that Mbappé’s future would be a topic of discussion. Surprisingly, Macron did not touch upon it directly, although he did make a joke that seemed to allude to the player’s future.

“No , no, no, no… not at all!” Macron said (h/t Canal Supporters). “There have been no discussions on that, and I leave it to the club leaders to do that. It was normal that he was there. He is a great champion who helped to liven up the World Cup final in Qatar. It’s been seven seasons at PSG, anyway. All French people admire this player of the future, but there have been no discussions.”

In recent weeks, the dynamics surrounding Mbappé’s PSG extension have diverged from discussions with Emmanuel Macron two years ago. However, unlike in 2022, it doesn’t appear any political influence will happen to ensure the Frenchman stays in his hometown.

Mbappé is reportedly on his way to Real Madrid this summer once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires. The inclusion of Mbappé is expected to play a crucial role in its success, and there is potential for Alphonso Davies to join the team as well.
