Chelsea, PSG Get Transfer Boost for AC Milan Star from an Italian Journalist

Paris Saint-Germain might be in the forward market to replace Kylian Mbappé, who will reportedly leave once his contract expires. One of the targets rumored to be a potential replacement is AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Leao recently stated that he has no intention of leaving Milan. Nevertheless, journalist Carlos Passerini of Corriere della Sera maintains that there remains a chance the forward could depart the Serie A club.

Passerini notes that if an offer of €175 million comes in, AC Milan will consider selling the forward. Nonetheless, he does stress that Leao is happy in Milan, but situations can change.

“He’s an immense talent and several clubs are courting him,” Passerini noted (h/t Le10Sport). “If someone were to arrive with the €175 million of his release clause, he would take it. The Leao situation will certainly come up again this summer; it’s part of the game.

“But the Portuguese isn’t lying, he’s telling the truth: his mind is in Milan, he wants to stay in Milan. However, we’re in a fluid football environment where things can change from one moment to the next. Scenarios change rapidly because there’s a lot of money involved, as we’ve seen with Tonali.”

Recently, rumors have connected Leao with moves to PSG and Chelsea. Both clubs need a player at the peak of their career rather than a promising talent. However, PSG’s management ticked off several names, and Leao’s profile is appreciated, but there is no unanimity on his case.
