Real Madrid will reportedly have Kylian Mbappé within their ranks next season as many expect the Frenchman to join the Spanish giants as a free agent. Nonetheless, the major question with his arrival is, how does it affect the other attackers on the team.
Vinicius Jr. and Mbappé play the same position on the wing, so the Brazilian will need to adapt to a new role next season if the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner arrives. Nonetheless, manager Carlo Ancelotti believes the forward can play anywhere in the attack.
“I think Vini can play inside,” Ancelotti said (h/t MARCA). “Not as a center forward, but in a pair of forwards. I have to keep in mind that he likes it on the outside, he is very comfortable, he has improved a lot and gets into the field to uncheck. It has been good for him many times. I want to put him where he is most comfortable, that is on the left wing.”
The potential arrival of Mbappé will undoubtedly pose a challenge for Real Madrid’s attackers, requiring them to adapt to new positions and roles on the team. While the Paris Saint-Germain star is versatile enough to play the No. 9 role, his preferred position is the left wing, adding an element of intrigue to the team’s future dynamics.
It will be interesting to see if Ancelotti can pull the right strings next season to ensure all players are happy with their role.
It should n’t be the way I read you putting it but should be they way the management of the team see it fit, Mbappe is not buying the club but Real Madrid is buying him and for that fact, he should come and follow what is offered to him.And players are not animals, they are not harnessed into a pair by master solely but they can amongst themselves agree what they aught to do to bring results and enjoy the game. The coach is there to advice and from outside watch the game and analyze what best can be applied into the formation of set of players. Chouameni is known playing midfield but he is much good when playing center back. It still need for the whole set of players and coach to sit down and discuss concerning their positions.
