Bayern Munich to Battle Arsenal, PSG for Bologna’s 11-Goal Sensation

Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee thrives under former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta, propelling the Italian team toward dreams of the UEFA Champions League next season. However, top European clubs show considerable interest in the young striker.

Zirkzee is having an impressive season with Bologna, who currently sit in fourth place in Serie A. The Dutchman has scored 11 goals and made six assists in 29 games for them in all competitions.

PSG and Arsenal are watching the 22-year-old closely, but another top European team might also be interested in signing him. Calciomercato reports that Bayern Munich may look to bring back the Bologna striker.

Regarding the expense, reports from Italy suggest that securing Zirkzee could require a €60 million bid. However, Bayern Munich has a buyback clause, so it will likely be cheaper for the German side.

The young striker came up through Bayern Munich’s youth system and made his first-team debut in December 2019 against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League final group stage match.

Afterward, he went on loan to Parma and Anderlecht before finding a permanent place at Bologna. Could a second stint at Bayern Munich be in the works?

  1. Don’t be silly, he’s not for Arsenal, we have better bench warmers and we are looking for world class players not just good players, we already have plenty of them.
