The UEFA Champions League field for the quarterfinals is set as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid all advanced past the Round of 16.
Any draw presents an interesting matchup for PSG, but there are obvious favorable draws that can benefit Luis Enrique and his team. Which club would present the Parisians with the best chance to reach the semifinals? CBS Sports pundit Jamie Carragher believes it’s Barcelona.
“Looking at the teams there in Dortmund, maybe it does stand out, maybe in terms of name as well,” Carragher said on the CBS Sports panel on Wednesday. “But when you think of one of the biggest names there, Barcelona, where they are right now. I think that’d be a decent draw for somebody, whether, say, a Manchester City or Arsenal, [or] PSG. I think if they got Barcelona, they’d be quite pleased.”
“You have two teams there that can be cocky in bracket: Real Madrid and Man City.”

Another media member might share the same thoughts as Carragher. L’Equipe’s Tracy Rodrigo recently stated who has the edge. Rodrigo believes that Barcelona holds the advantage in the midfield over PSG but notes that the French giants are superior to the Catalan side in other aspects.
Taking into account all the off-field narratives, a clash between these two teams promises to be captivating. It signifies the return of Luis Enrique and Ousmane Dembélé, both of whom may not be warmly received given their current affiliation with PSG.
They can say all they want to say, but the only thing I know is, my Barcelona will suprise everybody
