Barcelona Veteran Identifies Key Area for Improvement Ahead of PSG Showdown

FC Barcelona secured a 1-0 win over Las Palmas thanks to a goal from Raphinha on Saturday at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The Spanish giants will have 10 days to prepare for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie.

While FC Barcelona managed to secure a win, their performance against the 12th-place side was not as convincing as expected. This victory should serve as a wake-up call for the squad, highlighting the need for improvement if they are to overcome the challenge of Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona’s veteran Sergi Roberto spoke after the win and noted that the team needs to improve on converting their chances as their focus now turns to PSG.

“We created chances, but we needed to finish scoring them,” Roberto said (h/t SPORT). “We are happy for the victory, it was the objective. And now, let’s think about the Champions League match against PSG.”

Before their first leg against Barcelona, PSG will play three matches. They’ll face Olympique de Marseille on Sunday, then OGC Nice in the Coupe de France semifinal, and finally Clermont Foot. This means the Ligue 1 side will be match-fit, but there’s also a risk of injuries during this busy period.
