FC Barcelona will need a manager this summer, as Xavi Hernandez intends to leave the position after this season. One of the names in the rumor mill is Paris Saint-Germain’s Luis Enrique. However, he put any speculation about his future to rest on Thursday.
Enrique has succeeded at Barcelona, having won the 2015 UEFA Champions League, two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, a UEFA Supercup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.
The 53-year-old pushed the right buttons during his tenure, allowing the Catalan side to succeed. However, while live streaming on Twitch, Enrique noted that he wants to remain at PSG and not leave for Barcelona.
“Return to Barça? Barça means a lot to me, but it seems unlikely,” Enrique said on his stream. “I want to respect my contract at PSG because we have an important project to develop, and I will not break the contract. No way.”

If PSG advances past Barcelona in this Champions League quarterfinal, the cries for Enrique to return will only get louder. Nonetheless, he’s laying the groundwork for long-term success at PSG and, in his first season, has the path to reaching another Champions League final and winning the trophy that has long eluded the French giants.
