Barcelona Chief Reveals Tactical Concerns Over PSG Superstar Joining Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer when his contract expires. Many expect the 25-year-old to join Real Madrid as a free agent, and while there’s excitement over the squad they’ll have, one Barcelona executive revealed a flaw.

The Frenchman will be linking up with Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr., but there will be players who need to sacrifice playing in their preferred position or seeing their minutes reduced.

In an interview with Què T’hi Jugues on Wednesday, Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, was asked for his take on the impending reinforcements that Los Blancos will have.

After first admitting that Real Madrid will undoubtedly be ‘stronger’ for having Mbappé, Deco went on to highlight tactical drawbacks that will need to be overcome.

“Mbappé to Real Madrid? There is no debate, he is a decisive player, he scores a lot of goals,” Deco told the outlet. “If he joins Real Madrid, they will be stronger. But they will have to resolve some tactical problems. In football, balance is very important.”

In another interview, Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal noted that if the Spanish giants land the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, it won’t be only their team that benefits from his arrival. Carvajal states that La Liga will benefit from having Mbappé.
