Barcelona on Alert: PSG Superstar Highly Unlikely to be Fit for First-Leg Match

The FIFA international break has claimed its first player for Paris Saint-Germain. Bradley Barcola left Friday’s contest with an injury during the French U-23 team’s match against Ivory Coast. On Saturday, a report surfaced about how long the winger will be out.

RMC Sport reports that Barcola suffered a Grade 2 hamstring injury in his left thigh. The 21-year-old will miss the matches against Olympique de Marseille (March 31) and Stade Rennais (April 3).

Nonetheless, the major question is whether Barcola will be ready for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie against FC Barcelona.

According to the French media outlet, Barcola’s availability against Barcelona is highly uncertain. Currently, there’s a certain pessimism within PSG about the player’s ability to be fully fit by April 10th at Parc des Princes.

However, it will also depend on his ability to recover quickly. The Parisian staff will monitor this closely. Barcola has quickly adapted to PSG’s high-profile environment, so if the youngster misses the contest, his presence will be missed in the starting lineup.
