Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave the capital club this summer when his contract expires in June. Many expect the Frenchman to sign with Real Madrid, but could another team come in for the swoop?
The other possibility for Mbappé is the Premier League, considering their financial resources. In the past, the 25-year-old was linked to Liverpool, but those rumors have faded. Nonetheless, another team might be lurking.
According to Cadena SER, a member of Mbappé’s entourage held talks with Manchester City earlier this week. The English club has the financial resources to land the player and are consistently in the UEFA Champions League while battling for domestic trophies under manager Pep Guardiola.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester City is a real threat to Real Madrid or if this is a leak from the Mbappé camp to pressure the Spanish side into meeting their demands. Still, a move to the Premier League would be a surprise, considering all the reports put the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner in the Spanish capital.
