Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti Responds to Odd Kylian Mbappé Question

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé suffered an injury during the capital club’s 3-1 Coupe de France win over Stade Brestois.

Although the 25-year-old was able to finish the game, the question now surrounds whether PSG will shelter him in the contest against LOSC Lille.

The capital club could rest the Frenchman to ensure that he’s ready for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against Real Sociedad. A question over Mbappé’s health would be one the media would ask manager Luis Enrique.

However, the Spanish media asked Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti about the tackle that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner suffered for some odd reason.

“I didn’t see it; I didn’t watch that match,” Ancelotti said (h/t Le10Sport).

Real Madrid are looking to land the player, whose contract with PSG expires in June. Nonetheless, it’s weird to ask a manager about a player’s injury when he’s not on the team. The Mbappé saga continues, but it does have its weirdness, like this instance.

  1. All I can see is mbappe doesn’t want to lift a ballon do’r or CL, let him stay at psg, he won’t be a good player if he keeps putting money first, players have lift trophies every other player dream off not because of money. If money is your problem, stay at psg, if football success and record you dream of breaking and lifting trophies, los blancos is the perfect place for you. It’s that simple. Psg will make u a billionaire, los blancos will make a God. Choose wisely
