PSG, Real Madrid Scramble to Win Over €60M Defender This Summer Window

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are battling over Kylian Mbappé. However, the capital club and Spanish side are fighting over another French player, LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro.

Yoro’s contract expires in 2025, and the 18-year-old defender will be in high demand this summer. As a result, the Ligue 1 side might have to sell this summer to ensure they receive a proper transfer fee.

Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that PSG and Real Madrid are among the clubs looking to sign Yoro this summer. Lille’s current demands are more than €60 million for the central defender.

Le10Sport recently reported that Luis Campos, PSG’s sporting advisor, has garnered significant support from Jorge Mendes.

Mendes has seamlessly integrated into the Yoro clan while overseeing this aspect for the player. Meanwhile, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez considers him a suitable replacement for David Alaba after his knee injury.

The veteran defender underwent successful surgery on his torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Real Madrid is likely aiming to secure the player, hoping that Yoro can emulate Raphaël Varane’s path.
