PSG’s Luis Enrique Addresses Impact of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid Reports on Team

The Kylian Mbappé exit reports couldn’t have come at a worse time for Paris Saint-Germain. With the UEFA Champions League, Coupe de France, and Ligue 1 ongoing for the squad, there’s the possibility of winning a treble. However, could the news destabilize the team?

Ahead of Saturday’s contest against FC Nantes, PSG manager Luis Enrique had to address these reports. One of the questions from the press was about how these reports would affect the squad.

Nonetheless, the Spanish tactician notes that he’s not concerned with the outside noise. Enrique has managed at FC Barcelona, so it might be safe to assume that he can navigate the situation.

“No, I’m not concerned. To be sitting where I am, you have to have the personality and the experience to be at PSG,” Enrique told reporters (h/t Paris Fans). “There are always rumors. It doesn’t matter. You have to know how to deal with them. Like criticism and praise, like controversy. It’s normal.”

Enrique also made it clear that until any official announcements are made, there will be no comments on his end. Still, with information coming out daily, it seems this might not be the last time that the 53-year-old has to answer a question about the departure of Mbappé.
