PSG and Bayern Munich Eye Barcelona’s €10M Young Talent to Strengthen Defense

Paris Saint-Germain could add more young defenders over the next few transfer windows. The capital club secured Lucas Beraldo during the January transfer window, which could lead to more younger defenders coming to the French capital.

All eyes will be on whether PSG can land LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro, but the Parisians aren’t putting all their chips in that basket. There are other young defender options that sporting advisor Luis Campos could explore, and one of them is currently at FC Barcelona.

Todos Fichajes reports that PSG and Bayern Munich are eyeing Barcelona youngster Pau Cubarsí. He is one of the pearls of the youth team, and knowing the current economic situation of the Blaugranas, both clubs would try to take the defender.

The Catalan side needs to sell players, and while sporting director Deco is reluctant to let go of players like Frenkie de Jong, he might have to sell some young players with high upside. In order to add signings, Barcelona will need to proceed with several departures.

Cubarsí could also consider saying goodbye if an offer arrives that guarantees him more minutes than in Barcelona. Last summer, he signed his first professional contract with Barcelona until 2026, but his buyout clause is only €10 million.
