PSG Offers Barcelona Lucrative Transfer Fee for Midfield Sensation

Paris Saint-Germain could bolster its midfield this summer as they continue to mold the position into manager Luis Enrique’s vision. One name that the capital club might have their eyes on is FC Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong.

A recent report from a Spanish media outlet revealed that PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester United monitor the situation between Barcelona and de Jong.

The latest information comes from SPORT as they report that PSG are interested in signing de Jong. Furthermore, the platform reveals that the Parisians are willing to pay €60 million for him.

In a recent piece, The Athletic compiled a list of players that the Ligue 1 side should pursue to begin the post-Mbappé years. Journalist Liam Tharme writes that PSG should push for the Dutch midfielder instead of going with an attacking player.

Tharme noted that the former Ajax player would be an ideal fit for manager Luis Enrique’s system. After losing Ousmane Dembélé to PSG, the Catalan side might be selling another player to the French giants. If they need money to bolster other parts of their squad, then it’s an option Barcelona might consider.
