Ousmane Dembélé is in his first season with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving FC Barcelona last summer. However, his arrival did come with concerns, primarily his inability to stay healthy, but that hasn’t been an issue so far in the French capital.

In his first few months with PSG, Dembélé has had a clean bill of health. Furthermore, Ligue 1 is known for its physicality, which is why Neymar Jr. had injury issues during his time in Paris. So it’s not like Dembélé is now playing in a league that isn’t physical.

Ex-player and pundit Emmanuel Petit recently discussed the current season’s commendable health of the Frenchman in an interview with Spanish media outlet Diario AS

Petit also expressed his reservations about Barcelona’s medical team, pointing to Dembélé’s previous ability to maintain fitness during his time at PSG as a cause for concern for the Catalan side.

“You have so many top players injured for weeks and weeks and weeks, which is quite worrying,” Petit told the platform. “When I see [Ousmané] Dembélé here at PSG, he’s not injured at all. Basically, he arrived at PSG and he doesn’t get any injuries. He was always injured. I have no idea what’s happening with the medical staff, the training sessions, but I have no idea.”

If the 26-year-old, who has one goal and 10 assists in all competitions, maintains a clean bill of health for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, more questions like Petit’s will be asked.
