Would Manchester United Sensation Thrive at PSG? Ex-Player Weighs In

Paris Saint-Germain will look at different files to replace Kylian Mbappé, who’s reportedly leaving as a free agent after this season. One of the names in the rumor mill is Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

However, one former player doesn’t view Rashford as a player who would thrive in the French capital. He notes that the 26-year-old’s woes will likely come from the player and the club.

“I don’t know,” Cole said in regards to whether Rashford could thrive at PSG (h/t DAZN). “The only person you can get an honest answer from is Marcus. His form last season was exceptional and his form this season has been the complete opposite of that. I don’t know why because I don’t know what’s going on in his personal life, whether he’s enjoying his football or not or whether he still enjoys playing for Manchester United.

“What my mindset would be is not the same as what his would be, so I don’t like speculating about a player’s mindset. Whatever he or Manchester United decide to do this summer will be decided by both parties.”

Furthermore, a recent report noted that Rashford is not at the top of the list for the Parisians. The Ligue 1 giants will instead first try moves for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and AC Milan star Rafael Leao.

The Parisians are also hesitant to make a move unless they receive a clear indication from Rashford himself that he wants to leave the Red Devils.

This caution stems from PSG’s belief that previous interactions with Rashford before he extended his contract with Manchester United were merely attempts to gain leverage.
