Paris Saint-Germain needs to prepare for life after Kylian Mbappé, and one target that will help fill the shoes of the Frenchman is Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
Le Parisien recently reported that Silva is part of the list of players that the capital club wants to target to begin building a squad without the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
On Monday, Le10Sport reported, citing sources, that PSG’s pursuit of the Portugal international is heading in the right direction. According to the French media outlet, the Silva case is still active on PSG’s side, even after the failures of 2022 and 2023.
Sporting advisor Luis Campos still wants to integrate the former AS Monaco star into the Parisian squad. PSG is ideally positioned for the dream to become a reality.
In the player’s entourage, there seems to be optimism that the Parisian project could come to fruition. Bernardo Silva still wishes to come to Paris if the opportunity arises.
Silva reportedly has a £50 million release clause, which was part of his new contract. As a result, if he’s keen on joining PSG, then it would be possible for the Parisians to pay that price.
