Paris Saint-Germain has identified AC Milan’s Rafael Leão as their top target if they need to replace Kylian Mbappé. Furthermore, the Parisians received a boost in a potential run to land the forward this summer.
While Leão is a top talent, this 2023-24 season has been what some might consider a down year. The 24-year-old has scored six goals and registered six assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
In his column for CaughtOffside, journalist Rudy Galetti asserts that Leão’s lackluster season diminishes his appeal in the Premier League despite interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
Furthermore, the two English sides view his €175 million release clause as too high. Galetti also notes that Leão feels at ease in Milan and enjoys the city and the Rossoneri atmosphere.
