The future of Kylian Mbappé will reportedly see him continue his career with Real Madrid. The 25-year-old’s contract expires in June and will be free to sign with the Spanish giants as a free agent.

Ahead of PSG’s match against Stade Rennais on Sunday, manager Luis Enrique received a question regarding whether the reports have affected Mbappé. Nonetheless, the Spanish tactician decided to sidestep a question and give a generic response.

“I didn’t see any difference in any of my players this week,” Enrique said (h/t Culture PSG). “What is getting closer, and what awaits us shortly, is this crucial match for us tomorrow. It is essential because we want to continue to prove that we are competitive against any opponent and in any competition.

“We play at home in front of our supporters because we are a club that must fight for all the titles and because being a PSG player does not allow you to relax. It would only be one match. This is my goal as a coach.”

While Enrique navigates this delicate situation, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will also need to steer a tender situation of his own when the Frenchman arrives.

Former La Liga player Gica Craioveanu noted that it will be up to manager Carlo Ancelotti to manage these egos to ensure the team runs smoothly in Year 1 with the Frenchman.

Mbappé can play the No. 9 role; his preferred position is out on the left wing, and players such as Rodrygo could see their minutes reduced. As a result, the Italian will have a significant task should the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner arrive.
