While it seems Real Madrid will win the latest installment of the Kylian Mbappé transfer saga, Paris Saint-Germain might beat the Spanish giants for another French talent, Leny Yoro.
Yoro is arguably one of the best young defenders in football, and the Parisians want to ensure he doesn’t leave Ligue 1. RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reports that sporting advisor Luis Campos always has Yoro in mind.
The defender, whose contract ends in 2025, will have the pick of the bunch. He has almost all the top clubs at his feet, starting with Real Madrid. A sale will likely occur this summer since the player’s camp has not yet approved Lille’s contract extension proposal for an additional season.
If he doesn’t join PSG, there is a shortlist of at least three names. It includes two high-profile players, one of whom is French.
This position could see significant departures if Lucas Hernandez is permanently shifted to center-back. With Milan Skriniar and Presnel Kimpembe returning from injury, along with Marquinhos and Beraldo, not to mention Nordi Mukiele, who can play in the center, there will be congestion in the defensive lineup.
