The hypothetical arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid is a topic many in the football world are talking about. The latest to speak out about the possible landing of the French star at the Santiago Bernabéu has been Fabio Capello.
The former Italian coach, well acquainted with the Real Madrid environment after having two stints as manager, talked about how Carlo Ancelotti can enhance the form of Mbappé in an interview granted to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It is an excellent choice for Madrid and for Mbappé. Kylian will join a top-level team,” Capello said (h/t Mundo Deportivo). “With his personality, players immediately judge the coach. They immediately understand if you have the qualities to lead a group. A coach is like a conductor. Carlo is even more; he is a teacher.
“[Ancelotti] has intelligence and charisma and knows how to do it. He knows how to place men in the best position on the field and make them feel important. Mbappé wanted to be king in Paris; in Madrid, he has to do his thing.”
Ancelotti spoke to the media on Saturday, and of course, the reporters wanted to talk about Kylian Mbappé. Nonetheless, Ancelotti did his best to sidestep any questions that revolved around the 25-year-old.
Moreover, as for the salary, Le Parisien reports that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is currently making €72 million before taxes while being a part of PSG. If they were to join Los Blancos, their earnings would slightly decrease to just over €30 million.
Nonetheless, this would still make them the highest-paid player at the Spanish club, surpassing Toni Kroos’ earnings of €24 million.
