Kylian Mbappé remains a target for Real Madrid, but is the 25-year-old a must-have player for the Spanish giants? One journalist doesn’t believe it’s a priority anymore to land the Frenchman this year.
Real Madrid clinched a 4-0 victory against Girona FC last Saturday. According to Tomas Roncero of Diario AS, it’s time to shift away from pursuing Mbappé and concentrate on Real Madrid’s top-notch players, who currently lead the La Liga table.
“I no longer have this feeling of urgency to recruit him that I had about two years ago,” Roncero said on Cadena SER (h/t Le10Sport). “Two years ago, it was absolutely necessary to recruit him. Today, it is no longer so clear… Vinicius’ pass [in the Girona game]; Mbappé has never done it in his life.”
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti recently stated that he has the best players right now when responding to a question about Mbappé. Whether he really believes these remarks or is giving a political answer remains to be seen.
Nonetheless, expect Los Blancos to stay in the race for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner until he decides. Mbappé will likely choose between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid to determine where he’ll continue his career. When will a decision come? That’s the mystery in this saga.
I have been saying that Mbappe is not serious about coming to real madrid so they should focus on signing an alternative striker
Let’s hem be, he is not the only best player so far, let’s find another one somewhere else.
