With Kylian Mbappé reportedly on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain, the next question is over what happens with his brother, Ethan Mbappé. The midfielder’s contract with the Parisians expires in June, and there’s speculation over his future.
Nonetheless, it appears the 17-year-old is committed to PSG and has no intention of following his brother anywhere. Journalist Abdellah Boulma reports that the young Mbappé and PSG are in talks to sign his first pro-contract.
Ethan’s future isn’t linked to his brother and Le Parisien notes that after Kylian Mbappé told his teammates that he was leaving at the end of the season, Luis Enrique said to Ethan Mbappé: “And you, Ethan, are you going next summer too?”
Ethan replied with a smile: “No, I’m a Titi; I’m staying at PSG.”
Ethan has already made his PSG debut, with the squad rotating to compete in three competitions. As a result, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the teenager gets more minutes to keep players in the midfield fresh as the squad aims for a treble.
