Former Paris Saint-Germain winger Ángel Di María recently revealed his ideal starting 11. The Argentine included several former teammates in the French capital but left one significant name off the lineup.
Di María has selected Kylian Mbappé, Neymar Jr., Zlatan Ibrahimović, Lionel Messi, and Sergio Ramos to feature in his optimal starting XI, composed of former teammates from his career. However, Di María left off former PSG captain and current Chelsea defender Thiago Silva among the defenders he selected.
Instead of Silva, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner selected Marcelo, Nicolás Otamendi, Javier Mascherano, and Ramos over the Brazilian. Whether he views them as better than Silva remains to be seen, but it would be interesting to listen to why Di María left off his former PSG teammate.

Nonetheless, all players have their reasons for choosing their ideal starting 11. Despite leaving Silva off, there are still plenty of PSG players with whom he interacted.
