Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is reportedly one of the targets that Paris Saint-Germain has in mind to replace Kylian Mbappé. According to reports, the Frenchman will leave PSG after the season with the expectation of signing with Real Madrid.
However, if the Parisians want to pursue Osimhen, there will be competition. The Nigerian goal score will have several suits this summer, mostly in the Premier League. One club eyeing the Napoli star is Chelsea, who is ready to offer a lucrative contract to beat PSG.
Rudy Galetti wrote in his CaughtOffside column (h/t Le10Sport) that Chelsea is considering presenting Osimhen with a seven-year contract featuring a salary slightly surpassing his current earnings in Naples.
Additionally, the Blues express an interest in initiating talks with the Azzurri to negotiate the terms of payment over the 25-year-old’s release clause. Chelsea aims to gain an advantage over its competitors.
Reports suggest that Osimhen has a buyout clause between €120 million and €130 million after signing a contract extension with the Serie A side in December.
