Revealed: How Much Chelsea, Man Utd Willing to Pay Barcelona for PSG Target

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly monitor the situation between Frenkie de Jong and FC Barcelona. If there are any offers, the Dutchman will no longer rule out a possible exit in the next summer market.

The reality is that, for now, there has been no progress in his renewal, and at Barcelona, there are doubts about his continuity in the event of not being able to reach an agreement.

However, PSG isn’t the only club monitoring the situation. SPORT reports that Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring it. The Spanish media outlet adds that de Jong’s situation is a challenging one. With the Premier League clubs willing to pay €100 million, Barcelona could decide to sell.

The 26-year-old will become the highest-paid footballer in the squad due to the adjustments he agreed to at the time because of the pandemic. There is talk of figures exceeding €20 million net in the last two seasons of his contract.

Deco, the sports director of the Blaugrana club, has attempted to initiate discussions regarding a contract extension. The proposed adjustment involves redistributing the footballer’s salary across a more extended period.

Although the original intention was to extend the contract until 2029, the process of reaching an agreement has been difficult, with negotiations barely making any progress.
