Barcelona Faces Managerial Turmoil as Rumors Swirl Around PSG’s Luis Enrique

FC Barcelona will seek a new manager this summer as Xavi Hernandez intends to leave after this 2023-24 season. However, the managerial search for club president Joan Laporta won’t be easy.

A recent report revealed that Barcelona has Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique among their preferred candidates to fill the role. However, Diario AS reports that the ideal candidates the Catalan side has in mind are all likely unattainable.

According to the Spanish media outlet, Laporta will not find it easy to find a front-row coach. His first choices are getting complicated. Luis Enrique and Mikel Arteta are coaches with contracts at PSG and Arsenal, respectively.

Furthermore, current Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp, who will be leaving the club at the end of the season, is also believed to be on a year-long break.

While it doesn’t seem that the Spanish tactician will be leaving anytime soon, there are issues he has dealt with regarding the Kylian Mbappé transfer saga. L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi recently reported that manager Luis Enrique did express an issue with the timing of this announcement.
