Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike will seek a way out of the French capital this January transfer window. The 21-year-old has become an afterthought in this new project with manager Luis Enrique.
The arrival of Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and even Marco Asensio, who has taken on the No. 9 role in the 2023-24 season for PSG, has excluded Ekitike from consideration for the striker position.
Despite not having playing time during the first half of the season, the Frenchman still has suitors. According to RMC Sport (h/t Paris Fans), Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolverhampton Wanderers are two teams keen on the young goal scorer.
A move out of PSG would be ideal for Ekitike to get his career back on track. Loïc Tanzi of L’Equipe recently reported that Ekitike’s mental health has significantly suffered in the past few weeks. Now, he is determined to actively seek opportunities with a new club.
It remains interesting to see whether the young forward can secure a fresh start elsewhere this month.
