Why Real Madrid’s Latest Mbappé Offer Falls Short from Past Bids – ESPN Report

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé must choose between Real Madrid and staying with his current club. A report indicates that both clubs have made offers to the 25-year-old player.

ESPN reported on Thursday, citing sources, that Real Madrid’s recent contract offer is lower than previous ones. However, other sources stated that the offer would still make him the highest earner at the club.

Los Blancos are offering less than they were previously willing to pay. The club hesitates to propose a significantly higher salary than established players like Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham earn, which is reportedly around €10.5 million net per season.

Mbappé currently earns €37 million per season at PSG, and the club has proposed maintaining the same salary in their new contract offer.

Some Real Madrid players believe Mbappé could join the club in the summer, but they recall feeling optimistic before, only for him to renew his contract with PSG. This time, club president Florentino Pérez led the negotiations and consistently stayed in contact with the player.

Will the La Liga team successfully sign the player this time, or are they facing another rejection?
