West Ham and Wolfsburg Defenders Catch PSG’s Attention for Defensive Boost

Paris Saint-Germain wants to bolster its backline this January transfer window. The capital club has lost Milan Skriniar for a few months due to injury, and Achraf Hakimi is playing at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Additionally, PSG could be losing Nordi Mukiele, as Bayern Munich is keen on the player. However, the capital club differs from the German giants in the type of deal to complete the transfer.

L’Equipe reports that PSG has also inquired about West Ham United’s 27-year-old central defender, Nayef Aguerd, and VfL Wolfsburg’s 23-year-old central defender, Maxence Lacroix.

The Ligue 1 side did bring Lucas Beraldo, but the team needs more depth, considering they want to compete in Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League. If the Parisians want all three trophies, they’ll need to improve their defense, allowing them to rotate their squad without the quality dropping off.

Can the capital secure another defender or two? These next few days should be interesting to follow.
