Transfer Rumors: PSG Eyeing Barcelona SC’s Goal-Scoring Wonderkid

Over the years, Paris Saint-Germain has been known for splashing the money on marquee names. However, this new project sees the capital club investing in young talent, and the latest name is Allen Obando.

This January window has seen the Ligue 1 side bring in two young Brazilians, Gabriel Moscardo and Lucas Beraldo. Both players are bets for the future that they’ll be able to hit their potential in the French capital.

Another player confirmed on PSG’s radar is also from South America, but rather than Brazil, he’s from Ecuador. Barcelona SC’s president confirmed that the Parisians have made an offer for a 17-year-old center forward.

“It’s real, about PSG,” the club chief stated (h/t Jugada). “They are extremely interested; they have made an offer that meets the club’s expectations, and that offer has been quite aggressive.”

PSG is actively seeking to bring in a wave of young talent, and concurrently, they are willing to release certain players on loan to facilitate their continued growth.

L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reports that PSG is exploring the option of loaning out Cher Ndour for the latter part of the season, with interest from Besiktas and Club Braga. So, it will be interesting to see if PSG does land the Ecuadorian and whether they’ll take this same approach.
