Revealed: Why PSG Has Cooled Its Interest In Newcastle’s Bruno Guimarães

Transfer rumors, like any others, quickly fade away during any window, and Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Bruno Guimarães could be losing steam. While the Brazilian would be an ideal fit for their midfield, the timing isn’t right.

In the last few days, PSG has reportedly shown interest in the Newcastle United star. As a result, it stirred excitement among supporters who anticipate a potential significant signing to boost the team in the second half of the 2023-24 season.

However, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins and Arthur Perrot report that manager Luis Enrique is very interested in Bruno Guimarães. However, PSG’s management knows that his price tag is out of reach this January.

Recently, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano weighed in with his information regarding the Ligue 1 side’s reported interest in the former Olympique Lyonnais player. The journalist noted that PSG likes Guimarães, but he’s not aware of any concrete negotiations so far. Could they return in the summer to secure the midfielder?

  1. He won’t go to a far weaker league and despite wealth they are not as attractive as Madrid or Barca. He enjoys living in a great city and Paris is filthy now like London
