Report: AS Roma Defender in PSG’s Crosshairs for Defensive Upgrade

Paris Saint-Germain is looking for center-back depth after the injury to Milan Skriniar. Recently, a report revealed that the capital club could look at RC Lens defender Kevin Danso. However, there’s a new target for PSG: Diego Llorente.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins and Arthur Perrot report that PSG has actively inquired about Llorente. Manager Luis Enrique highly values the defender and has consistently shown interest in his profile, but there has been no further development.

The player is concentrating on his ongoing season at AS Roma. Foot Mercato also revealed that PSG is keen on the 30-year-old defender, adding that Paris explored the Dayot Upamecano route. Still, the chances of signing him this January are almost zero.

It will be interesting if the Denso file cools off or if the reported Bayern Munich rumors make PSG steer at other options. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich has included Danso in their center-back shortlist as Radu Dragusin approaches a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
