PSG’s Benched Striker Emerges as Arsenal’s Potential Economic Signing

Arsenal is actively seeking a new goal scorer due to underwhelming performances from several forwards at the Emirates Stadium this season. Consequently, they may consider a Paris Saint-Germain striker who might be discontent with his current situation.

Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus have struggled to establish themselves in Arteta’s central forward position this season. The lack of assertiveness in this role could potentially prove detrimental to the Gunners. Arsenal are currently occupying the fourth position in the table and trailing five points behind the league leaders, Liverpool.

The Express reports that the Gunners could be keen on Gonçalo Ramos, who arrived in the French capital last summer but has struggled to find regular minutes as the PSG striker.

According to the report, Ramos could serve as an alternate target later this summer rather than pursue Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney. Both players will likely command more than £100 million.

Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, the English side must exercise caution in their spending. Therefore, the board would appreciate any cost-saving opportunities in seeking someone like Ramos.
