Bundesliga Ace Joins Real Sociedad’s Attack in Anticipation of UCL Clash with PSG

In less than a month, Paris Saint-Germain will face off against Real Sociedad in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Ahead of the matchup, the Spanish side has bolstered its attack.

On Thursday, the official announcement confirmed Sheraldo Becker’s departure from Union Berlin to join Real Sociedad. According to Transfermarkt, the Bundesliga side will receive a transfer fee of up to €5 million ($5.5 million) for the talented Surinamese striker.

PSG improved their defense with Lucas Beraldo’s arrival from São Paulo FC this January window. However, the Parisians did suffer a blow when Milan Skriniar went down with an injury and will be out for several months.

As a result, the Ligue 1 side will likely have to add another center-back to compensate for the loss. Both teams are making final adjustments before their two-leg matchup begins on Valentine’s Day, with the winner moving onto the quarterfinals and being close to reaching the final.
