It appears footballers want out of Saudi Arabia, and one of them is former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema. After an exodus of players that went to Saudi Arabia last summer, perhaps the lucrative contracts weren’t enough.
Sports Zone reports that Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi looked into possibly signing Benzema on loan for the next six months. The Frenchman reportedly signed a deal worth more than $200 million for two-and-a-half years with Saudi Arabian football club Al-Ittihad.
While bringing another top French talent, pursuing Benzema would fall in line with what PSG used to do in bringing big-name players despite their age.
However, the option is currently ruled out as PSG prioritizes strengthening the defense and midfield. Furthermore, sporting advisor Luis Campos is not keen on Benzema.

Campos understands that there are other needs. Furthermore, PSG has more than enough attack to get them through the second half of the 2023-24 season.
