Paris Saint-Germain could be looking to bolster its midfielder for the second half of the 2023-24 season. Initially, Gabriel Moscardo was supposed to help in this area. However, he’ll have surgery, and now Kalvin Phillips is an option.
Upon Moscardo requiring foot surgery, causing a three-month delay in his official arrival, PSG has reportedly begun monitoring midfield alternatives.
According to The Telegraph’s James Ducker, PSG and Newcastle United lead the race to secure Phillips, as the midfielder anticipates departing Manchester City to ensure consistent playing time.

There’s no further information from Ducker regarding whether this will be a loan move from PSG or if the French giants will pay a transfer fee for the Englishman. Additionally, would Phillips be keen on leaving England?
Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham have demonstrated that English players can thrive outside the Premier League. With UEFA Euro 2024 on the horizon, would Phillips take that gamble or decide to join the Magpies and stay in a league and country he’s familiar with?
