Luis Enrique Praises ‘Unstoppable’ PSG Talent Following Victory Against Lens

In his last four Ligue 1 games, Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola elevated his performance to another level. The 21-year-old notched two goals and gained the trust of Luis Enrique, securing a full 90 minutes in his past two contests.

Barcola opened the scoring in the 2-0 victory against RC Lens on Sunday night at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. As he starts to grasp his role in Enrique’s system, the Spanish manager grants him additional minutes, leading the former Olympique Lyonnais player to make strides in his performance.

After the match, Enrique spoke about the excellent form the Frenchman is experiencing. The former FC Barcelona gaffer also noted the qualities that stood out to him in the win over Lens.

“Yes, but it was like that when we signed him,” Enrique said (h/t Culture PSG). “He has many qualities, can do a lot of things, is very fast, and is very young. Today, he was at the right tempo and unstoppable!

“If I called him last summer to convince him? I don’t remember (laughs). Luis Campos is the person who does that. It’s always great when you play a match like that, and I always speak of them as a very good team.”

Barcola likely wasn’t pegged to be a regular starter, with Kylian Mbappé commanding the left wing. Nonetheless, his form has forced Enrique to push the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner inside into the No. 9 role, and out of the lineup are Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos, who PSG spent a lot of money on this past summer transfer window.
