Mbappé stated that he has yet to decide on his future amid rumors that Liverpool and Real Madrid are keen on landing him as a free agent. The Spanish side has already offered the Frenchman an offer to secure the winger. Reports suggest that the La Liga club will have a deadline for their proposal.
Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon spoke with Bernabéu Digital and provided behind-the-scenes details regarding the Mbappé file at Real Madrid.
“It is difficult to predict what will happen with Mbappé,” de Mon said. “In a few days, the conditions will be met for him to sign a proposal from Real Madrid, but we have already seen in the past that Mbappé is very unpredictable. At Real Madrid, there is a certain feeling of optimism that the player is now clear about the move from Paris to Madrid.
“It is unpredictable, and Real Madrid is no longer obsessed with this signing. They are going to set very clear conditions and a deadline throughout January. I hope, for better or worse, we don’t have a Mbappé soap opera during the first half of 2024.”
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano shared his information about the famous deadline and noted that he doesn’t believe it exists. As a result, Real Madrid could be waiting longer than many expect them to.
As for Liverpool, the Reds are actively vying for the signature of the 2022 FIFA World Cup runner-up. Furthermore, if the move materializes, he would serve as the long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
