“I see him more on the way out,” Simonneau told Diario AS (h/t Le10Sport). “It would be a mistake to stay. If he truly wants to be number one, he should go to Madrid.
“Here, he has already won everything, and he plays in a league where we know who will win even before the competition begins. I think he understands that he has lost two years of his career by staying here during this period.”
Nonetheless, ESPN reported on Thursday that Real Madrid’s recent contract offer is lower than previous ones. However, other sources stated that the offer would still make him the highest earner at the club.
Real Madrid is now offering a lower salary than before. The club hesitates to propose a significantly higher wage than established players like Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham earn.
