MARCA journalist José Félix Diaz provided the latest regarding the situation, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid vying for the 25-year-old. During a live stream on Twitch, Diaz noted that the Parisians believe that Mbappé is negotiating with the Spanish side behind the scenes.
“There was no meeting between PSG and Mbappé,” Diaz said (h/t Le10Sport). “But what I am now being told is that PSG believes that Mbappé is currently negotiating with Real Madrid.”
Furthermore, Diaz states that a decision from the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner should be coming soon.
“The player may say this week whether or not he continues at Paris Saint-Germain,” Diaz added. “I was told that it will be from Thursday, February 1st and that it will not be long before they announce it. People who know PSG well take for granted the departure of Kylian, who said nothing in the locker room.”
Real Madrid is keen on Mbappé and willing to compromise with the forward regarding the economic side. According to a report from Spain, Los Blancos are ready to make the Frenchman the highest-paid player on the squad.
